A Love Story
Written Update: Episode 15
Eda tells Korkut that as of now he is the only man in her life which brings a smile on Korkut’s face. Korkut pulls Eda closer and compliments her while she praises his choice of dress. He leans in for a kiss and Eda’s eyes shut in anticipation. Just when their lips are about to meet Korkut retracts saying that things between them are moving too fast and Eda repeats that he is too weird. He asks her if that is the reason why she likes him and she blushes as he gets up and leaves abruptly.
Korkut receives a call from Gonul informing him that Tolga hasn’t returned home as yet. Korkut asks her to relax as he assures her of finding him and getting him home. Gonul says she has no idea where Tolga could be but Korkut repeats that he will get him home.
Korkut finds Tolga drinking alone by the sea side. Korkut tells him Gonul is worried for him and that he should return home. Tolga wonders how Korkut found him and Korkut says he had mentioned it to him. Like a heartbroken lover, Tolga starts ranting about love and life and Korkut sits beside him to give his take on love. Korkut says, “Love is like breath. You live as long as you are breathing, the moment you stop breathing your life is over.” Tolga says his breathing has stopped and Korkut explains that Eda doesn’t love him. Tolga regrets making a haste in his relationship with Eda and Korkut corrects him that love isn’t everything in life and that love is just a moment of intoxication and nothing more. They then leave for Tolga’s home.
Korkut brings the inebriated Tolga home and Gonul rushes to help him sleep on his bed. Korkut glares at Gonul who carefully takes off his jacket and shoes before lovingly tucking him in bed. Korkut is at the door ready to leave when Gonul thanks him for helping her find Tolga and get him home. She tells him that his mother will be very proud to have a son like him and he smiles weakly before leaving the house.
On reaching home Korkut sees Ceylan dozed off on the cot outside his house. He wakes her up and she tells him that she was worried for him as he left without a word and didn’t even answer her calls. She says “Though you are rude and short-tempered, each time I think of you I feel…” as she falters, Korkut grows impatient and asks her to leave right away because he isn’t suitable for her. He pleads her to leave and when she doesn’t budge he says, “….or else I will fall in love with you”. Zoooop….we see that Korkut is still standing at the gate and was only imagining this conversation.
Ceylan wakes up and sees Korkut standing at the gate. She walks up to him and reprimands him for leaving without a word. She tells him that Emine and Umut were worried and Emine assumed that he left because of her and would never return home. Korkut glowers at Ceylan and asks her to pack her bags and leave. She dismisses his order and he asks her if she is unwilling to leave because she has fallen for him and she scoffs at his assumption. He asks her the reason why she refuses to leave and she says she is there for Umut and Emine as they need her.
Korkut deliberately sleeps on the bed Ceylan slept on last night and she gets the reason why he is doing so. She tells him that no matter what he does she isn’t leaving and she flops on the single sofa next to him.
At the breakfast table, Korkut compliments Emine’s dress but she ignores him, still sulking for what happened the previous night. Korkut sighs and tells Umut he will drop him and Umut responds that he will go to school with Ceylan and his mother. Korkut tells them that they don’t need Ceylan and that she can leave but Emine and Umut protest against it and Ceylan assures them that she is staying as she always keeps her promises. Korkut snarls that she should be gone before he returns home in the evening and sternly tells Emine to get Umut ready for school.
Korkut gets going and Ceylan rushes after him. She asks him the reason behind his rude behaviour and he looks away to avoid meeting her eye. She tells him that she knows that he loves her and that she can see the love in his eyes, which is why he is asking her to leave. She says she has gone through that pain and will leave right away.
Gonul is interviewing a girl to be Tolga’s new assistant when Tolga walks in his boxers. Gonul reprimands him for not dressing appropriately and Tolga replies that he can wear whatever he wants in his house. The girl starts to introduce herself and he interjects saying he isn’t interested in knowing much. Smiling lecherously, he pinches her cheek and chin and tells her that her interview is done. The girl leaves looking disappointed as Gonul flares up. She starts to scolds Tolga but he pays no heed and walks away when Gonul says she is feeling dizzy and passes out. Tolga and Asiye rush to her aid.
Seeing the ambulance arrive at Tolga’s house Korkut runs inside to check on Gonul. He finds Gonul lying in Tolga’s room with Tolga by her side. She tells Korkut that she is fine and just then Asiye guides the paramedics to the room.
Ceylan gives Umut her contact number and Emine asks her to not leave them. Ceylan explains that she has to leave as her mother is worried for her. Umut then asks her to visit them often and she promises to meet him at his school and bring him lots of goodies.
Tolga tells Korkut that Gonul’s blood pressure had dropped and he blames himself for causing too much stress to her. Korkut too also blames himself for it and Tolga asks him why he feels so and Korkut justifies that he didn’t take good care of Tolga and then adds that had he been in Tolga’s place, he would have never let his mother down.
Just then, Ceylan arrives and Tolga heaves a sigh of relief on seeing her. He holds her in an embrace and says that he missed her a lot. He tells her that Gonul is fine now. Holding her tightly he says that he will never let her go again. She promises to not leave him ever again and that she will not go to Ankara either. Korkut turns to look at her as she lowers her eyes. He walks out angrily and as an act of revenge scratches Tolga’s car with his car keys and leaves with a content look on his face. (Haha…Korkut acts really childish sometimes.)
Tahsin berates Ceylan for taking off without informing him. He then inquires about Tolga’s driver and she tells him that he had helped her in Germany and had once saved Tolga’s life. He asks her why she didn’t tell him this before and she apologises for it. He tells her to not unpack as she will be going to Ankara and she tearfully begs him to not send her there. She promises to never repeat the mistake and he relents saying that he will not forgive her again if she repeats her mistake.
Korkut drives Eda to an undisclosed location and she is skeptical about his choice of place for a date. After maneuvering the car in a parking lot, they finally arrive at a deserted place overlooking the sea where a table is set with candles. Eda is overjoyed with his arrangement. She tells him how things feel so different when he is around and he flirtatiously tells her that this is just the beginning.
Gonul sees Ceylan in the kitchen and tells her that she is fed up of Eda and doesn’t want to look at her face ever. She then tells Ceylan to maintain distance from Tolga and not dream of things that are beyond her reach. Ceylan states that she doesn’t harbour any such dream and Gonul explains that she knows that Ceylan is a smart girl and will never do anything stupid.
Korkut asks Eda how she liked the place of their date and she says she likes his style which is not fake in any way. She says that he is extremely different and makes her feel important and he responds that she is important which is why he has chosen her. She then says that she loves his honesty and he corrects her that no one can ever be honest and she opposes that she knows that he is honest. She says people lie a lot in love and she tells him that her ex-boyfriend who was a footballer changed in one week and Korkut rises from his seat looking irritated. She apologises to him and hugs him as he grins at his control over her.
Ceylan angrily takes down Tolga’s posters from her walls and Ece objects saying that the room belongs to her too. Ceylan starts to argue with her when she receives a call from Umut who worriedly informs her that Korkut hasn’t returned home. She asks him to relax and assures him to talk to Korkut. Korkut and Eda arrive at her house and she invites him in for coffee while he asks for some wine which Eda gladly reveals of having. Korkut’s phone buzzes and we see that he has saved Ceylan’s name as ‘taş kafa’ which mean ‘stone head’ in English. He notices her call but ignores it as Eda gets them glasses of wine. Eda sees the name flash and asks him who is ‘duffer’ (the word is actually stone head but in the Hindi translation we hear Korkut call Ceylan duffer). He then gets up to finally attend the call.
Ceylan scolds him for not informing Emine and Umut about his whereabouts as they are worried. Korkut tells her to admit her love for him and that he will stop this game the moment she does it. His words leave her bewildered and he tells her that she has five minutes to think about it or else it will be too late. She asks what will it be late for but he hangs up before listening to her.
Eda tries to talk to Korkut but his mind is elsewhere. He recalls the sweet moments spent with Ceylan and checks his phone for her call but she hasn’t called. Ceylan is confused and she asks Ece what a person means when he says ‘before it is too late’ and Ece says that people usually say that when they are about to commit suicide. Korkut checks his phone and we see that only one minute has passed. Eda asks him if he is expecting a call and he tells her that there is only five minutes left. Ceylan tries to sleep but is restless thinking about what Korkut said to her.
Ceylan tosses and turns in her bed as Korkut leads Eda to her bedroom. In Eda’s room, Korkut leans in for a kiss and we see Ceylan finally call Korkut on his phone. However, Korkut’s phone is in the hall.
