The Face Shop Real Nature Longan Mask Review: Refreshes And Replenishes Dry Skin

Nykaa was having a sale on Face Shop sheet masks, so I bought 6 masks and got 3 free. Korean sheet masks are slowly becoming a trend in India as they provide an instant glow to the skin. These masks are soaked in serum that is highly hydrating and moisturising. I usually stay away from moisturising creams as my skin is oily and creams often cause a breakout. It becomes imperative for me to look for skin gels and serums to hydrate my skin. Korean sheet masks work well for my sensitive skin as it replenishes my skin without making it too oily. I used the Face Shop Real Nature Longan mask and here is my experience with the mask.

What does it claim?

Drenched with emulsified moisturising serum, the Longan sheet mask revitalizes and nourishes the skin.  

 

How to use?

Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Using a cotton ball gently rub a toner over your face that will help refine your skin texture. Remove the mask from its packet and place it on your face. Remove the mask (in down to up direction) after 20 minutes and gently massage the solution left on the skin and leave it on till it dries on your face. DO NOT wash it off as your skin needs to absorb the serum. The serum may feel sticky at first but don’t worry it will dry after some time and will leave you looking refreshed.

 

Does it fulfil its claim?

The Longan sheet mask has a very pleasant fruity fragrance. I always complain of Face Shop’s masks having tiny eyeholes but this mask had a cut at the sides of the eyehole which I tore to make it wider for my eyes. Sheet mask users always claim that the serum is easily absorbed by the skin but that seldom happens in my case. So, I used the mask before sleeping and left the serum on overnight. The mask is extremely hydrating and I can be sure of this by the fact that it healed my chapped lips. I often apply some serum to my lips and in the morning my lips feel soft and smooth. I am always sceptical of leaving any kind of cream on my skin overnight as I fear a breakout but this serum effectively moisturised my skin and did not cause any breakout. My skin looked and felt hydrated and refreshed. The mask illuminated my skin and it glowed all day long. However, the effect lasts for only a day so if you want to your skin to glow regularly, you will have to use the mask frequently.
