The Face Shop Real Nature Honey Mask Review: Not Very Impressive

I mentioned in my last post that I recently placed a bulk order of sheet masks so I am sure that you are ready for a flurry of sheet mask reviews. 🙂 I usually use a sheet mask only a night before an event or a usual outing. Though the temperature has risen slightly in my city, my skin still feels dry and dull probably because of the acne medicines that I have been taking for the past few months. I had a family outing planned and wanted to use the radiance mask a night before. However, my skin looked too dry so I decided to first use a moisturising mask before the radiance mask. This time I went for the Honey mask as honey is known to be a natural moisturiser for the skin. I used this mask last week here is my experience with it.

Honey Mask Review

What does it claim?

The Honey Mask calms sensitive skin and makes it soft and supple.

How to use?

Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Using a cotton ball gently rub a toner over your face that will help refine your skin texture. Remove the mask from its packet and place it on your face. Remove the mask (down to up direction) after 10-15 minutes and gently massage the solution left on the skin and leave it on till it dries on your face. DO NOT wash it off as your skin needs to absorb the serum. The serum may feel sticky at first but don’t worry it will dry after some time.

Does it fulfil its claim?

The Face Shop Real Nature Honey Mask comes in a regular plastic pouch. The cotton mask is drenched in serum that is of runny consistency. I first washed my face, applied my regular toner and let it dry. As always, I tore the eye hole to fit my eye shape before placing the mask on my face. I left the mask on for around 30 minutes before taking it off. I then massaged the leftover serum all over my face and neck. The serum has a typical fragrance that most Face Shop masks have. These face mask serums never dry easily on my face so I always leave it on overnight and wash it off the next morning. The next morning, I noticed that my skin looked slightly brighter but the dry patches on my face did not vanish. The dryness was subdued but my skin did not feel as supple as it normally does. The skin glow also lasted for just a few hours. This mask did not impress me a bit.

What’s good about it?

Paraben-free

Makes the skin radiant

Pleasant fragrance

What’s not so good about it?

Contains alcohol

Effect lasts just a few hours

I give The Face Shop Real Nature Honey Mask 2 out of 5 rating. The mask makes the skin glow but only for a few hours. It moisturises dry skin but may not work on extremely flaky skin.
