Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review: Highly Effective But Not Recommended

I have used all kinds of makeup removers in the past and only a few have managed to impress me. Garnier Micellar Water is one of the few that works great for me. It makes makeup removal too easy and quick. When I first found out about it, my primary concern was the probable presence of alcohol in it. But the package says that it is devoid of alcohol or parabens so I am at ease that this product can safely be used. According to several online sources, you need not wash your face after using this cleanser because it thoroughly cleanses the skin. I, however, do wash my face after using it because only water gives me the satisfaction of having cleansed my face.

Name
: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Price: ₹175/- for 125ml

Ingredients:

AQUA/WATER, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, GLYCERIN, DISODIUM COCOAMPHODIACETATE, DISODIUM EDTA, MYRTRIMONIUM BROMIDE, POLOXAMER 184 (F.I.L. B178838/0)

What does it claim?

Garnier Micellar Water easily clears makeup from the skin and cleans it to make it makeup, dust, and dirt free.

How to use?

Take a few drops of the micellar water onto a cotton wipe and place on the skin to be cleansed. Wait for a few seconds before wiping it off. Repeat till entire face is cleared of makeup.

Does it fulfil its claim?

The micellar water comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a pink flip cap.

The package also includes a few cotton wipes. The micellar water does not have any fragrance. It is like clear water that easily cleans the skin without making it oily or even greasy.

Just one tip – While removing stubborn eye make up, keep the drenched cotton pad longer on your eyelids for it to break down the makeup before wiping it off. You can then use a cotton swab to clear the excess makeup around the lashes.

What’s good about it?

Cleans most makeup in one single swipe

Gentle on the skin

Non-comedogenic

Does not contain alcohol or parabens

Suitable for all skin types

Travel-friendly packaging

Cost-effective

What’s not so good about it?

My biggest problem with Garnier Micellar Water is the fact that it is produced in China. I strongly advocate banishing Chinese stuff and try my absolute best to avoid buying Chinese products as much as I can. I brought this online and thought that Garnier is a French product. Sadly, this product is ‘Made In China’ so even though it is a good product I don’t think I will be repurchasing it. Also, there are several other makeup cleansers available in the market so replacing this one is too easy a task.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is an effective makeup and skin cleanser. However, since it is ‘Made In China’ I will not buy it again nor will I recommend anyone else to buy it.
