Newly Married Couple Barbie Hsu And Koo Jun Yup Show off Their Real Chemistry In Vogue Taiwan’s Latest Pictorial

The love story of Taiwanese actress, Barbie Hsu and her DJ husband, Koo Jun Yup is one straight out of a love drama. In case you are unaware of their famous ‘second-chance love’ then allow me to share the details.

Barbie is a popular Taiwanese actress who shot to stardom after playing the female lead in the hit TV show “Meteor Garden” which is the TW version of “Boys Over Flowers”. Back then, Koo Jun Yup was a member of a K-pop band named ‘CLON’.

In 1997, Koo Jun Yup was in Taiwan for a promotional event where he met Barbie for the first time. The two fell in love almost instantly and dated for a short while before the K-pop industry put a ban on dating for K-pop artists. (So cruel of the K-ent industry to put such bans on their artists.) The couple had no choice but to break up.

The couple then went their separate ways. Barbie went on to date her co-star from “Meteor Garden”, Vic Zhou before finally tying the knot with the Chinese businessman, Wang Xiaofei in 2010. They even had two children together. However, the couple didn’t last long and they officially separated in 2021.

When the news of her divorce reached Jun Yup, he called Barbie on her number from twenty years ago and much to his surprise she still owned it. The two bonded over calls and rekindled their romance.

In March 2022, the couple announced their marriage and later released their wedding pictures.

The couple posed for Vogue Taiwan’s October issue and their love and chemistry is clearly visible in the images. Have a look.

Barbie is my favourite TW actress and I loved her in “Meteor Garden” and “Mars”. What amazes me is how she looks the same as 20 years ago. I have seen second chance love only in movies or read it in books. This couple is an example of “where there is love, there is a way”. It feels so nice to see them so happy and in love. May they be happy together always.
