The Face Shop Lotus Mask Review: Not On My Repurchase List

My mask mania is still on and I am here with yet another Korean sheet mask review. I am a real lazy bum and following a regular skincare routine is not my cup of tea. I do try my best to keep up with my plans but I always fail. So when I am looking for some quick fix, a sheet mask is often my best bet. This time around I went for the Face Shop Lotus Mask which is a hydrating mask meant to moisturise and brighten the skin. So, what did this bet of mask gain me? Keep reading to know more about it.

Name: The Face Shop Lotus Mask

Price: ₹100/- for 1 sheet mask

Ingredients:

The Face Shop Lotus Mask Review

What does it claim?

Drenched in serum fortified with the goodness of Lotus flower, this mask moisturises the skin and gives dull skin a natural glow.

How to use?

Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Using a cotton ball gently rub a toner over your face that will help refine your skin texture. Remove the mask from its packet and place it on your face. Remove the mask (down to up direction) after 10-15 minutes and gently massage the solution left on the skin and leave it on till it dries on your face. DO NOT wash it off as your skin needs to absorb the serum. The serum may feel sticky at first but don’t worry it will dry after some time.

Does it fulfil its claim?

The mask comes in a glossy black pouch. The white cotton mask is sopping wet with serum. I first washed my face, applied my regular toner and let it dry. The serum has a very faint floral fragrance. The serum is of a runny consistency. As always, I tore the eye hole to fit my eyes before placing the mask on my face. I left the mask on for around 30 minutes before taking it off. I then massaged the leftover serum all over my face and neck and let it dry overnight. Even though the serum is light in texture it still feels greasy on the face and does not get absorbed quickly. In fact, it did not get absorbed even until the next morning. After washing my face I noticed that the hydrating mask has done its job well and my skin looked vibrant and clear. However, this effect lasted for barely a few hours and not even a whole day.

What’s good about it?

Paraben-free

Brightens the skin

Moisturises the skin

What’s not so good about it?

Effects last for barely a few hours

Contains alcohol

I give The Face Shop Lotus Mask 2.5 out of 5 rating. Though this mask does its job the effect barely lasts so there is no point in repurchasing it. There are more masks available in this range, that do a better job. However, if you are a mask freak like me and love trying out new masks then you can give this one a try.
