Back To Blogging Once Again
It’s been a long looooong time since I posted on AlphaGirl Reviews (AGR), and even longer since I reviewed a drama or watched a K-drama. I have to admit, I missed it. I never meant to abandon AGR but as life moved forward, my priorities changed, and this blog had to take a backseat. I tried to keep it going but could not dedicate time to it. At one point, I even considered shutting it down because I knew I wouldn’t be able to give it the attention it deserved. But AGR is set to complete a decade this December, and I thought, why not at least wait until its 10th birthday? I was planning to write a goodbye post sometime in June, officially announcing the closure of this blog, when life took such an unexpected turn that instead of a farewell, here I am, typing a “Hello again” post. Life is so unpredictable!
AGR is my baby, my passion project, and at one point, it even became my lifeline. Even when I was not actively posting, AGR somehow managed to stay afloat on its own. Shutting it down always felt like an impossibly difficult decision, but continuing wasn’t exactly feasible either. Over the past couple of years, I barely watched any dramas. In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong to say I had cut myself off from the world of fiction altogether. I only managed to catch a few random shows here and there, and that was about it. It was only when I recently began writing my thoughts on a drama that I realized just how much I enjoy this and how much I love sharing my observations, insights, and opinions about different shows. So much so that I now feel genuinely grateful for the unexpected twists in life that pushed me to restart this blog.
As I re-enter the world of fiction through AGR, I may not be able to pick up right where I left off, so I hope to start afresh. This time I want to cover more than just Asian dramas. With so many OTT platforms and shows in different languages, I find myself spoilt for choice. So, I’ve decided to continue covering Korean, Japanese, and Thai dramas, while also including some Indian and American shows. I’ve also been curious to explore other international content, like Filipino and Norwegian series. I basically want a wide variety of global shows, while still keeping Asian dramas at the heart of this blog. I want this second-chance affair to be more colourful and ‘languageful,’ if you get what I mean. 😉 I may not be able to promise regular updates but will try to post as often as I can. And for news, I’ll post only ones that seem interesting and relevant. Written updates feel a bit difficult at the moment, but will try to bring that to the blog as well.
I have my fingers crossed hoping to keep posting as regularly as I possibly can. Hopefully, AGR won’t end up taking a backseat again (at least not for long).
Okay then, see you on the blog!
Lots of love,
AlphaGirl
