‘Blackswan’ is a multiracial group that consisted of four members: leader and main vocalist, Go Young Heun (South Korea), rapper, lead dancer, and vocalist, Fatou Samba (Senegal), lead vocalist and main dancer, Kim Da Hye (South Korea) and vocalist, visual, lead rapper Larissa Ayumi Cartes Sakata aka Leia (Brazil).

Adding to this group are maknae Sriya (India) and Gabriela Dalcin (Brazil) as the 5th and 6th members respectively. Originally, group management DR music had auditioned more than 4000 girls to fill in one spot in the group. But after 6 months of intense training, Sriya and Gabriela were both chosen to be a part of Blackswan.

A K-Pop enthusiast knows how difficult it is to become an idol in Korea. You have to beat thousands of talented individuals, and train for months or even years before you can even think of debuting. Even then there is no guarantee that you will ever get a chance to debut.

Seeing one of us there makes me so proud.😇😇 I’m glad our girls are exploring all kinds of career options and not limiting themselves to the confines of language and culture boundaries.

Here is an interview of Sriya in which she talks about her dream of going to Korea and becoming a K-Pop idol.
