The month of October was eventful for the following reasons:
1. Many Indian serials were launched
2. Several Korean dramas reached its climax
3. I discovered some cool skin products
4. And finally, we celebrated two major festivals Navratri and Diwali.
So, I decided from October onwards let’s take a look at the αLPHA products, serials, dramas, songs, and other things that stood out in the month. These are all my personal preferences and you are always welcome to share your views and opinions.
My lovely ladies, I proudly present to you the αLPHAs of October 2016.
SSCPL Aloe Vera Facial Kit
This facial kit simply the best facial kit I have come across till now. I have praised it enough in my product review so I do not wish to add to it but I must say that this is a good find. I wasn’t aware of the wonders that aloe vera can do to your skin. Next time I buy a gel-based moisturiser I will ensure that it has aloe vera as one of its key ingredients. I will also do some more research on aloe vera and its benefits for oily skin and promise to bring you more detailed benefits of this amazing plant.
αLPHA Health Tip
I had posted an article on how to relieve acidity with the help of natural products found in your kitchen a few months ago. However, I recently got to know another effective remedy that relieves acid reflux almost instantly. My schedule for October was highly erratic as I had lots of stuff to finish. Additionally, the two Indian festivals Navratri and Diwali sent my diet for a toss as I would indulge in a lot of sweets and restaurant meals. Because of my unrestricted eating habits, I often found myself down with acidity. Then someone gave me one of the most effective solutions to deal with acid reflux. Which was: grate a small piece of ginger and keep it in boiled water. Once the mixture has cooled off you can have it an hour after dinner (I have added this remedy in the article). This gives me immediate relief and I call it a Ram Baan upaay (highly effective remedy) for acid reflux.
αLPHA Indian Serial
Several serials were launched in October and of all the serials I personally like Zee Zindagi’s Turkish drama, Little Lord and Sony TV’s Beyhadh the most. But of the two if I have to choose one show then it has to be Beyhadh. Reason being that I find the show’s storyline very interesting and I absolutely love the lead cast. For me, this show is just too cool! As mentioned in the show review the serial has several bloopers but I overlook it all only because I somehow enjoy watching the serial. Jennifer Winget is doing an amazing job as the strict boss at work who is actually a vulnerable, lonely girl at home while Aneri looks extremely charming as the rookie lawyer. Even though I feel Kushal tends to overact but I like him like that. He has a lot of charisma and is a good lead for the show. I especially love his chemistry with Aneri. They look so adorable as best buddies. Just like Jai and Aditi from the movie Jaane Tu…. Ya Jaane Na.
αLPHA Asian Drama
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo
A complete package. That’s what this drama is. I watch multiple Asian dramas simultaneously and of all the shows Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo is the one I just cannot wait to watch. Though I enjoy watching Jealousy Incarnate too, but Scarlet Heart Ryeo just belongs to a different league. It is sad that the show has just two more episodes left and now I will have to find a replacement to appease my hunger for an outstanding drama on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (the drama is actually telecast on Mondays and Tuesdays in South Korea but in India, you get to watch it with subtitles a day later). I will miss this show :'(

αLPHA Best Scene
Pyo Na Ri and Hwa Shin kiss in Jealousy Incarnate
This scene was all over my Insta feed the day it was telecast. I may not support the kiss, as the circumstances weren’t ideal. It showed Pyo Na Ri cheating on Jung Won with Hwa Shin. However, if you ignore the larger picture and focus only on the scene then it was mind blasting! Lead actor, Jo Jung Suk is an incredible on-screen kisser. His chemistry with actress Gong Hyo Jin shot off the roof with this passionate kiss that was too hot to handle.
Bulleya and The Breakup song
It is sad that all the controversy surrounding Ae Dil Hain Mushkil somewhere stole the attention from its coruscating soundtrack. The movie may not be that great but its album has some extremely good songs. The soulful Bulleya and the peppy Breakup song are my favourites. Music director, Pritam Chakraborty has done a fabulous job with this album.
In Asian Dramas, it has to be Cinderella and the Four Knights ‘For You’ (ballad version). The music reminds me of Ji Won and Ha Won’s mesmerising kiss. As entertaining as the show was its OST was equally fabulous.
Below is the song ‘For You’. You can click on the CC option to read the English translation of the lyrics.
I hope you liked reading this October recap because I loved writing it 🙂 Let me know if I missed out anything and also do share your personal αLPHAs for the month of October.
