The Face Shop Real Nature White Tea Review: Does A Good Job At Brightening The Skin

Am I obsessed with sheet masks? Well, YES! I am! Why? Because they are so damn effective. Korean sheet masks are drenched in serum that moisturises the skin and makes it bright and radiant in a single use. I use these masks at night and leave the serum on overnight. The next morning, my skin feels so soft and looks so bright that I cannot help but want to use these sheet masks every day. But, I can’t really do that as I have tonnes of skin products to try out. This time I used The Face Shop’s White Tea face mask and here is my experience using it.

What does it claim?

The White Tea face mask brightens and clears skin tone.

 

How to use?

Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Using a cotton ball gently rub a toner over your face that will help refine your skin texture. Remove the mask from its packet and place it on your face. Remove the mask (down to up direction) after 10-15 minutes and gently massage the solution left on the skin and leave it on till it dries on your face. DO NOT wash it off as your skin needs to absorb the serum. The serum may feel sticky at first but don’t worry it will dry after some time.

Does it fulfil its claim?

I first scrubbed my face with a mild face scrub. Then, like every other sheet mask, I took out the White Tea sheet mask from its packet, tore the eye hole to make it wider for my eyes and then placed it on my face. The mask has a pleasant flowery fragrance. I noticed that the serum is slightly thicker than the other masks I have used till now. I left the mask on for 20 minutes, before taking it off. I then squeezed out the excess serum from the packet and rubbed it over my face, lips, neck and shoulder. The serum is thick and did not get absorbed quickly. I left the serum on overnight and it still felt greasy in the morning. I was worried that its greasy texture would cause a breakout but it didn’t, so I was relieved. When I washed off the serum with regular water I could see the clear radiance on my face. The serum is extremely effective as my skin looked lighter and felt hydrated. My chapped lips also felt soft and smooth the whole day.

What’s not so good about it?

Expensive (I still feel that ₹100 for a one-time use sheet mask is unreasonable.)

Temporary effects (Effect lasts for only a day.)

 

I give The Face Shop Real Nature Kelp Mask 4 out of 5 rating. The sheet mask worked great for my skin. It brightened my skin tone and I am re-purchasing this one for sure.
