The Face Shop The Solution Nourishing Face Mask Review: Say Good Bye To Dry Skin

Last few weeks have been really chaotic for me which is why I have not been posting as regularly as I want to. All the stress has been taking its toll on my health and skin. Also, I haven’t been regular with my skincare regime which is why my skin now clearly looks dry, tired and lacklustre. To overcome the dryness I tried The Face Shop The Solution Nourishing Face Mask which is meant to moisturise the skin and leave it soft and supple. Did it succeed? Read on, I will get to your answer in just a bit.

Name: The Face Shop The Solution Nourishing Face Mask

Price: ₹150/- for 1 sheet mask

What does it claim?

The sheet mask moisturises the skin to give you radiant and supple skin.

How to use?

Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Using a cotton ball gently rub a toner over your face that will help refine your skin texture. Remove the mask from its packet and place it on your face. Remove the mask (down to up direction) after 10-15 minutes and gently massage the solution left on the skin and leave it on till it dries on your face. DO NOT wash it off as your skin needs to absorb the serum. The serum may feel sticky at first but don’t worry it will dry after some time.

Does it fulfil its claim?

The Face Shop The Solution Nourishing Face Mask comes in a white foil packet which holds a thin cotton sheet soaked in serum. I first washed my face with a mild scrub before rubbing a toner all over my face with a cotton pad. The sheet mask is extremely thin and fits the face like a second skin. My only problem with this mask (and almost every other Korean sheet mask) is the eye hole which is too tiny for my eye shape. As usual, I had to tear the eye hole to keep the serum from leaking into my eyes. I then placed the mask on my face and left it on for around 30 minutes. The serum is very light but my skin still looked and felt very greasy. I always leave the serum on overnight but this time I tried the mask during the day so I left the serum on for around six hours. After I washed it off, I noticed that my skin felt soft but I could not see the usual ‘glow’ I notice each time I use a sheet mask. So, this mask does its basic job of moisturising the skin but it does not give any radiance.

What’s good about it?

What’s not so good about it?

I give The Face Shop The Solution Nourishing Face Mask 3 out of 5 rating. This mask is a good bet for those troubled with dry skin.
