Lotus Herbals Tea Tree And Cinnamon Anti-Acne Oil Control Face Wash Review: Just The Face Wash I Was Looking For

I have oily skin and have been suffering from acne for over a decade now. I generally use a mild face wash recommended by my dermatologist which suits my sensitive skin. However, I still look out for alternative face washes that can soothe my acne-prone skin. So, while shopping at a supermarket, I stopped at my favourite aisle i.e. the personal hygiene and grooming products section. That is where I spot Lotus Herbals Tea Tree And Cinnamon Anti-Acne Oil Control Face Wash. The face wash is supposed to be formulated especially for oily acne-prone skin so I think I fit the bill for this experiment. I have been using this face wash for the past four months and here is my experience using it.

What does it claim?

Lotus Herbals Tea Tree And Cinnamon Anti-Acne Oil Control Face Wash Review

This Teatreewash contains tea tree oil, cinnamon and oak bark extracts that remove excess oil from the skin while maintaining the sebum production of the skin. The ingredients decrease acne type lesions and fight against free radicals and leave the skin fresh and clean.

How to use?

Wet your palm and face. The face wash comes in a tube with a flip cap and the liquid is of a runny consistency, so be careful when you flip open the cap as the product tends to run out easily. Squeeze the required amount of gel onto your palm and then gently rub it over your face. The gel contains tiny granules like a face scrub so do not rub it hard on the skin. Wash it off with regular water.

Does it fulfill its claim?

The liquid is gel based with tiny granules that help clear off excess skin oil. It has a strong peppermint smell which is because peppermint oil is one of its ingredients. Since it contains tiny granules, at first I thought of using it occasionally like a face scrub but then I noticed that the granules are tiny and smooth so it could be used every day. During summer, I was trying another face wash meant to keep oiliness at bay but the product made my skin so dry that after a point I could actually feel the topmost layer of my skin freeze like a sheet of ice. So, I switched back to this TeaTreeWash. This face wash did dry my skin slightly when I used it in winter but during summer it worked wonderfully for my skin. One wash and my face would be oil free for 4-5 hours. The best part about the face wash is that as you rub it over your skin you will feel a cooling sensation which provides great relief during a hot afternoon. As far as controlling acne is concerned, the acne I suffer from is hormonal so no face wash can get rid of that completely. However, this face wash did help soothe my acne as it effectively rids the skin of excess oil.

What’s good about it?

Soothes acne

Rids of excess oil

Keeps the skin oil free for almost 5 hours

Leaves a cooling sensation on the skin

Makes the skin clear and fresh

What’s not so good about it?

Contains paraben

Dries the skin during winter

I give Lotus Herbals Tea Tree And Cinnamon Anti-Acne Oil Control Face Wash 4.5 out of 5 rating. Will I repurchase this product? Well, this is my second tube and I will surely go in for a third and fourth purchase too. If your skin is oily and acne-prone like mine, then definitely do try this product.
